Creativity Group

Well, I'm back with my colour ( I won't follow wrong spelling unless i'm graded :-) or i'm at Spell Bee) pencils and the 4B Dark Pencils et all. This is my Drawing section of our Creativity Session of our First module. This will enable us to expand our innovative selves and help us to be more creative with our thoughts. So we are a group of 12 and we're mini-picasso's . Yes, we are. So one day we had to draw one partner's face ( jordan in my case). We are required to watch a movie called 'Man at Work' , a biopic of the famous American Painter Rauschenberg and answer questions that Jane, our consultant asked us to prepare. The Best part is that we are also required to randomly draw small figures without necessary details, basically a reflection of everyday thought process. The entire episode was an absolute Drawathon.

The Warmth

There's a way about the Bhadralok's that i am missing so much here. Not to say that the Upper lippers ala Americans, are any less 'bhadra'. But there's a funny way about our conservative yet coming of age babumoshai's. I am suddenly reminded of the warmth one feels in a stinking ride from MG Road to Esplanade. Warmth could be construed differently, and i for one like the warmth Kolkata exudes. The sun never ceases to help you to break into a sweat. The Maidan is ever bright like almost a contrast to the starkness of the City of Joy. I don't even know what i am writing and why i am writing but i guess i am trying to bring myself back to the Glorious writing days. Although this blog won't be advertised and if you're reading it, you're a privileged few to sneak into my private boding.

Parting

Never before did I know the meaning of ‘attachment’. It was only when my vision started getting blurry on my entrance to the NSCBI Airport, Kolkata did I feel something amiss. The stomach had started churning wild juices and I was on my own heading towards a vision I had long established. The voices within me started playfully teasing me at the expense of my situation. Suddenly, the moment arrived and it was time to wrestle between my inhibitions and my convictions. I chose the latter. I was at once looking at niches to draw strength and inspiration. That came in the form of Gunjan, a friend travelling together to London. I soon resigned to the Larger Design in store for me, fully convinced how Nirakar has taken utmost care of opening up my various learning avenues. It was quite another thing that both of us got upgraded to the World Traveller plus, what with it’s spacious leg room and broader seating arrangement and altogether a different experience to be sitting inside while the ai...
