2001: A Space Odyssey

Jarring, Esoteric, Philosophical, Spiritual, Psychedelic, Compulsively slow, Timeless, Ageless.

This cinematic audio visual brilliance is so many things at once and yet it never aspires to be anything. It cannot be (and should not be) typecast into a sci-fi film. This is just a medium that addresses larger questions like :
Who am I ?
What is the purpose of life ?
What is my place in context of the Universe ?

The real beauty is that this A/V does not directly raise any such question nor does it explicitly spell out answers. Because there are none. It transmits a telemetric wave that compels you to think. And hopefully, will do so for many years to come.

Having said that, this movie can equally raise questions on evolution, technological progress, artificial intelligence, inter-stellar travel, worm-holes, space colonization and many such significant topics but I see them as mere stepping stones.

The year in the title of this movie is a misnomer. It never needed it. But i guess that would have just derailed the audience.

Personally, I think a movie such as this was directly scripted by the black monolith itself. Only the hand that seemed to wield it was different. It was the need of the hour.

Entertainment seekers, look elsewhere. If i could make some cave-men like tribe watch just one movie in their entire lifetime, this would be it.

I haven't seen this film myself, but I've seen The Tree Of Life and have often heard that is the philosophical child of 2001: A Space Odyssey. You should watch that too.

How I Got Trapped in a Crypto Scam in India — And What Every Investor Must Know Before Investing in Any Crypto Startup

Cryptocurrency is supposed to represent the future of finance — borderless, decentralized, and transparent . But for many Indian investors like myself, it has become a story of lost money, broken trust, and unanswered support tickets . I invested my savings in Bitbns , a well-known Indian crypto exchange. No Real Support — Only Bot Replies Every time I raised a support ticket, I got automated, copy-paste replies . No human responses, no effort to understand the problem. I now have over 100 identical replies . That’s not customer support — that’s a wall of silence. 2. Withdrawals for the Well-Connected Only Over time, it has become painfully clear that...

Inception- The movie

Flawless execution. To the uninitiated, Inception is a movie that instantly defies conformance. And no one but Chris Nolan could have handled it with so much specific-ity ( you'll know what i mean if you've seen the movie ). The movie traverses a dreamers voyage. YOU are the dreamer, we all are. I found a profound message hidden in one of the layers of the entire idea. All of us live in a dreamscape and the only true nature of our environment is elusiveness. Nothing lasts. We are all lucid dreamers. Stop waiting for the kick to settle in. Bon voyage.

I Don't Honk - Kolkata Chapter

We have all honked our way ahead on the streets of Kolkata. That's the way it is always meant to be. Precisely why our ugly behemoths -namely trucks and lorries have it written on the back - Horn Ok Please. So that's imbibed in our culture. Everyone subconsciously agrees to this sound of music. In the culture that we have collectively amassed; it is a widely acceptable norm. In fact, there are various categories of honking : 1. The Big car irritable long honks - Get out of my way you slow moving vehicle. Can't you see I'm wheeling an expensive drive. Well, only to be stuck 50 meters ahead in traffic. 2. The taxi horn that goes honk honk after every 30 seconds. They sometimes do it even at the traffic light just because they get bored and are often times without a music player. 3. The warning deep growl of a swerving giant - I'm going to maneuver and overtake. So you better move away you tiny marutis ( which is a de facto name for all 4 wheelers regardless ...
